Raj Restaurant (“Raj”) was
founded on very strong principles encompassing
vegetarianism, the beliefs and practices of vegetarians.
The word ‘vegetarian’ comes from the
Latin word ‘vegetus,’ meaning ‘whole,
sound or fresh.’ True to its founding principles,
wholesome, sound and the freshest ingredients
are used in magical mixes, by some of the most
talented, trained and experienced chefs, to bring
you the very best cuisine from the Northern, Southern,
Eastern and Western parts of India.
From the day it was set up, the mission of Raj
has been to serve quality vegetarian food in a
clean and appealing environment at attractive
prices. It has become one of the most popular
Indian vegetarian restaurants in Singapore and
has become a synonym for high quality,
scrumptious Indian vegetarian food. Raj has
maintained the highest standards of quality by
using the best ingredients including healthy
cooking oils such as sunflower oil, groundnut
oil and sesame oil.
Raj, in Singapore, attracts people of all
nationalities. Most of the items in the
extensive menu can be served mild or spicy,
without garlic or onion, to suit the different
taste buds and wants of our multi-national
customers. Raj provides full service in a great
ambience, offering a fine dining experience at
reasonable prices.
A number of customers have rated our food as the
best in Singapore and many have complimented that
Raj is the only restaurant where the food is akin
to home made food! Our chaats (a range of light
savouries) have also received rave reviews from
our customers.
“COME HOME TO RAJ.”
Dedicated to the loving memory of Late Shri
Raja Subramanian, founder of Raj Restaurant, Calcutta,
India.
